Ethanol (EC Number: 200–578–6) is undergoing reclassification as a carcinogenic and potentially mutagenic substance under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). This significant change will directly impact manufacturers, importers, and users of biocidal products containing ethanol, particularly in human hygiene (PT 1), public health disinfection (PT 2), and food/feed industry applications (PT 4).

To address these changes, we are convening a webinar designed to unpack what the reclassification means for companies operating under EU chemical legislation.

Panelists will share insights into:

  • The status and timeline of the reclassification
  • Potential impact on product approvals and supply chains
  • What this means for your business and regulatory obligations
  • Strategies to ensure continued compliance

Whether you're part of a regulatory affairs team, a compliance officer, or a business decision-maker navigating EU chemicals policy, this discussion will provide context, critical perspectives, and space for interactive Q&A.
